Hey Stampers,
So tonight is the night that I get to meet my niece and I am just so excited. With the H1N1 flu the hospital is only allowing 2 family members in the building at a time visiting. My brother called to say that he would be at home for a couple hours so that I could go up and see them.
Here is a little day planner that I decorated using my new stamp set Friends 24-7. Using some old DSP but I like the way it turned out. Unfortunately the quality of the picture isn't that good. I've made up a couple others that I hope to share with you in the coming days. These make really nice gifts for the person you don't know what to get or even a little stocking stuffer.
Thanks for checking in!!!

Another gift card holder
Good morning Stampers,
First I want to start with the exciting news I received this morning. My sister-in-law will be delivering her baby sometime today. Her water broke last night, I'm just hoping that it's not too long for her. She's having a girl and I am just so excited to meet her.
On to the project, you've seen this gift card holder in an earlier post but I thought I would try something a little different this time. I put the to and from on the outside and a holiday message on the inside...sorry I didn't take a picture of that, wasn't thinking this morning. I just got this stamp set a couple weeks ago and just love the way it looks on this.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for checking in! Have a great day.

Scandinavian Season
Happy Monday! A start to another week. This is a retired stamp set from last year. I didn't get to use it too much at the time so I wanted to get some use in this year. It is a little hard to see in this picture but there are 3 layers to the tree. There was a lot of cutting involved.
Inspiration for this card came from here. I stamped this first with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder, I had to do this 3 times per card I wanted to make. It was a little more time consuming then I was hoping for.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with another card using the same stamp set.

Hey Stampers,
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. November seems to be just flying by. I can't believe how many days are left until Christmas. I have started my shopping but it is far from over. Right now I have 3 nephews and a niece on the way very shortly, I have the most fun shopping for them and seem to have a hard time finding when to stop. Anyone else like that?
Thanks for checking in, we'll see you back tomorrow hopefully.

I really loved this card when I first saw it here. You can't really tell in the picture but it has a 3D effect on it.

Dasher
Hey Stampers,
I told you I would be back! I got this idea from Corinne aka Roxy (blog on the right). She is definitely a fun lady, you should check out her blog. At the time I didn't have the stamp set she used so I finally used my Dasher stamp. This is such a cute stamp and it hardly costs a thing. This is a gift card holder cut out using the top note die from the big shot.
Hope you like it and thanks for checking in.

How long has it been?
Good Evening Stampers,
Wow it has been a while. This is such a busy time of year for everyone and I am not exception. There are 3 birthdays in November for our family, one in November, a new baby on the way (not mine), craft shows and then finally Christmas. Phew, I'm spinning just writing all those things. I have been working hard in my craft room but just haven't been able to find the time to share these things with you. I've decided that tonight I am going to start. I've made a lot of fun cards the last couple of months and none of them are my own creation, I've cased them from fellow demonstartors. I'm just so inspired when I blog surf the many wonderful blogs of fellow demonstartors....there are a lot of talented and creastive people out there.
The quality of this picture is not the best but it's because they are put in clear envelopes for packaging. I really love the Holiday Lineup stamp set. I saw this card here, and changed it up a little and used So Saffron instead of gold paper. Hope you enjoy and I'll be back tomorrow with more.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween!!!
Hello Stampers,
I was up late last night putting the chocolate and candy into my treats bags. Frank is all ready to go for when the Trick or Treaters arrive. My nephews will be the first to arrive so I have something else for them but I will be sharing that with you tomorrow. I'm excited to see them in their costumes, they are each dressing up as a Superhero.
Thanks for checking in and I hope you all have a spooky Halloween night!

Sparkly Balls
Good morning Stampers,
Like the title? I thought it was saucy. hahaha
I spent all of Sunday afternoon making these and then I ran out of glitter. I saw these on a youtube video and I'm sorry to the person who did the video I can't remember how I found it. These can be very messy to make but there's not fun in clean crafting is there? I got ink and glitter everywhere, including the remote to the tv. I hope you like these as much as I do. I will be doing a class next month and these will be one of the projects.
Thanks for checking in!

Technique Tuesday
Hey Stampers,
First I want to start with, What is going on with the weather? Last week we had our first snow fall of the season and then today we hit high double digits. I was really hot today at work and last week I was freezing. I don't know what to wear anymore.
Anyway, it is Tuesday and you know what that means. Today's technique is called the spotlight technique or also a highlight technique. You want to make sure you use a stamp that has a lot of details to it like this one. I haven't used this stamp set too much but it works really well with the technique.
You should try this out, it's really quite quick and easy. Thanks for stopping by!

Zindorf Style
Hey Stampers,
I wanted to show you a couple cards that I made a while ago when I was just discovering Zindorf's blog. She is just amazing. I am just a beginner when it comes to her techniques but I am practicing. I made these a while ago but I thought that I would show them since they fit the season and I have been posting Christmas projects lastely. All the ink and paper are Stampin Up but the stamp sets are both non-Stampin Up.
I hope you like and thanks for having a look. Feel free to leave a comment.

More Tags
Hey Stampers,
These are sooo easy to make....if you have a big shot. Have I told you lately how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this thing. You can punch out 6 tags with one piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and these probably took me about 5 mins to finish. You'll notice that I'm using an old Hostess set and a new Hostess set. I have been having fun with these so hold on cause you'll be seeing more. How many more days til Christmas?
I hope you enjoyed what you saw, thanks for checking in.

Baby Shower Invites
Hello Stampers,
Today I'm taking a break from Christmas to show you the baby shower invitations that I made for my sister-in-law. If you couldn't tell she's having a girl. I'm very excited to finally be able to make some girly cards. I got this idea from here. I made a few adjustments but I really liked what she did. The colours are last year's in colours and this stamp set has unfortunately retired. The insert I just printed off the computer and tried to find a colour that was as close to Chocolate Chip as possible but you can't really tell from this picture.
Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for checking in!

Tree Ornaments
Good Morning!
As I mentioned yesterday today I am showing you the ornaments that I made from the Country Living Holiday kit. I didn't show you in the picture but I inked up the back of the chipboard with ink just to make it look more complete. It takes a couple times after drying to get the exact look that I wanted. I know I've been showing a lot of Christmas crafts but next week I'm hoping to finish and show you my Halloween treat bags that I'll be handing out. I don't want to get the candy too early as last year I ended up having to buy more because I ended up eating a lot of it. There's something about mini chocolate bars that seems so harmless.
I hope you like, leave me a comment of what you think. Have a great day!

Good Morning Stampers,
Over the weekend I worked on some tags. These are from a kit that came up last year from Stampin up. Today I'm showing you the gift tags that I made using the kit and tomorrow I will show you the tree ornaments. These tags are pretty simple to make with the kit and the only messy part is inking the chip board, I always seem to end up with a lot on my hands. Everything you you would need came in this kit and I really liked that, hopefully Stampin Up will come out with something similiar this year.
I hope you enjoy and thank you for checking in.

Technique Tuesday
Hey Stampers,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, I certainly did. I feel like I got so much done. I ended up doing a lot of crafting which is always fun! Today is Tuesday and I thought I would show you another technique we did at my Technique Tuesday class. There is a tutorial for this on Splitcoaststampers. I happened to just do some laundry over the weekend and a good thing as this technique uses used dryer sheets. This was pretty easy, I used spray adhesive and suggest you don't do this on a work space that you use a lot....my desk is a little too sticky for my liking right now. Hope you like it, I tried 2 different cards using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

No Stamps Required take 3
Good morning Stampers,
It's finally the weekend. This week felt like it went on forever to me, did anyone else feel that way. Later on today I'm going to African Lion Safari with my nephews. I'm really excited as I loved going there when I was a kid and I can't wait to see their expressions when they see all the animals. I should have made an animal card for my post today, it would have made a little more sense.
Anyway, instead I'm showing a Christmas card. It looks like it would be complicated but it really isn't. I got a card for Christmas a couple years ago from my aunt that was similar to this and ever since have been dying to try it. We made this card at my class last night which was all about cards that don't require any stamps to make.
Hope you like and thanks for stopping by!

See what you missed...
Hey Stampers,
This is the second card we made at my Technique Tuesday class this week. I don't use the Brayer too often but I love the way this looks. I cased this card from here. There's a great video that shows you how to do it. This card took a couple tried before I got it to look the way I wanted it too but I still think I'd like to try again.
I hope you like and enjoy your weekend it's almost here!!!

Technique Tuesday
Hey Stampers,
I so excited to share this card with you today. I am really happy and proud the way this turned out. This is not an original and there is an excellent video found here to show you step by step how to recreate this. The technique is called Emboss Resist. It was very messy while I was making it and had to wash my hands a few times during the process so I wouldn't smudge ink. I don't have a lot of Craft Ink pads so what I did instead of stamping with Craft ink pads was I stamped the tree in Versamark ink first and then used the classic ink pads in the Always Artichoke and Brocade Blue, finally embossing with clear embossing powder. You have to be quick when doing it this way. I hope you like the card, it's using to previous ink colours but who cares.
Thanks for checking in with me today! Hope you have a good one.

Extreme Elements
Good evening stampers,
I did a workshop yesterday at a friends house. Thank you to everyone who came. This is the card that we made. This stamp set is definitely out of MY element. I usually buy pretty and cute stamp sets. I got the Extremem Guitar guy for my boyfriend, sometimes he thinks he's a rock star. This card was fun and I really like these 3 in colours together.

Great day!
Good Evening Stampers,
I spent a good portion of last night trying to restore my ipod and ended up going to be feeling defeated. When I came home from work I was determined to fix it....actually the plan was to try a couple more times and then take it to my dad. hahahah. He's my Mr. Fix it when it comes to most things. I'm happy to say that I was able to fix it myself, I have no idea how I did it but all that matters is that it is working again. Ever have something like that happen to you?
I was very productive in the craft room this evening. I have a workshop coming up this weekend and I created the make n' take for it which I will post after the workshop. I also created a few others projects to post for the rest of the week. This card is one that I made this evening, I made a little boo boo that I'm sure you'll notice but I'm not going to point out. If I wasn't so tired I would do it over but I wanted to post something. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by!

Decor Elements
Hello Stampers,
I was sitting in my stamp room this evening trying to clean up when I saw a couple decor elements that I had picked up a while ago and haven't used. I thought that it might be a nice charge to use them this evening. They are really quick and easy to use....once you read the instructions. Both of these are hostess gifts and I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I haven't put up the Reindeer frame as it's a little too early even for me. Now that I have attemped Decor Elements I would like to try something on the walls in our newly renovated basement. I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek #2
Good evening,
What a beautiful weekend. I was in a baseball tournament on Saturday and didn't really think about wearing sunscreen. I wore a baseball cap and sunglasses and you could definitely tell. I got a little sunburnt and have funny tan lines on my face.
I worked on the Dahlia fold and once I figured it out it didn't seem as difficult as I had thought at first. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. I will definitely be trying this again. This is another card that we'll be doing at my card class on the Oct 2nd. Details about the class can be found on my Stampin up website. I hope you can join me, there are 8 spots available so book soon.
Thanks for stopping by!

No Stamps Required
Good morning!
I've been trying to get a little organized with cards I want to make, and classes I want to teach. The other day I drew out a few things that I wanted to do and yesterday I started making them. On Friday Oct 2nd from 7-9 I'm going to have a class all about cards that don't require any stamps. We will be making 4 cards and the cost is $15. The card I posted today is one of the four cards we'll be making. Last night I finished 3 of the 4 cards. I'm trying to master the Dahlia and if you come to my class you'll understand why. I'm a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to folding and the Dahlia fold has been testing my patience. The end result will be beautiful but it's just getting there. :)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like. Feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Flying Santa
Hey Stampers,
Every year my Mom and Aunt enter crafts shows, creativity runs in the family and for the last few years I have been joining them with my paper crafts. The other day my Mom mentioned the date of the first when and I thought to myself, "wow, that isn't as far away as I thought". I need to get my butt in gear and start making my Christmas cards. This is the first of many that I'll need to make. I have a bunch of ideas written down as to what I want to do. Last year I made a bunch of advent calendars. I should take a picture of them and show you. They weren't as easy as I thought they would be at first.
Back to this card, I used a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. You definitely need to have a look at it. Let me know if you would like a copy and I can mail you one. There are so many nets items in there.
I hope you like and thank you for stopping by!

Birthday Medallion
Happy Monday!
It wasn't a happy Monday for me today, don't know if I'll be playing indoor soccer this year. Our team didn't make it into the league this year. Apparently there were more teams then spots available. I love playing and don't really want to wait all winter to play again.
This card makes me happy though. I really love this stamp and even though it is just one stamp there are just so many things that you can do with it. I'm going to try this layout in different colours, so watch for them.
Hope you enjoyed and thank for stopping by!

Another sunny day in London Ontario and tomorrow is Friday!!!
I cased this card from here. I needed some inspiration when I sat down in front of my craft table. The more I use the in colours the more I like them. So far I've only used mambo melon, Crushed curry and Rich Razzleberry. Hopefully over the weekend I can try out the rest of them. I hope you like this, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Beautiful Medallion
Good afternoon,
It was a special birthday for my mom on the weekend (I wont say what year she was celebrating). We threw her a surprise party that wasn't too much of a surprise for her but I know she had a good time. This weekend was also my soccer championships, we didn't win any games but I scored a goal and considering that was only my second one of the season it was pretty exciting. My summer season is over which is sad for me but winter league is just around the corner...just not soon enough. lol
On to the card, this is the card that I made for my mom's birthday. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and discovered if you don't have sponge's around and don't want to walk all the way upstairs to get some, Kleenex will work too. I had been waiting a while to get the Medallion stamp and finally received it last week. After I saw this card I knew I HAD to make one similar. I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Pretty Daisy
How many days in a row is this? I'm impressed with myself. I have more coming too.
I really like the Daisies die from the big shot. You can do a lot of layers with different colours which is fun. You can't read the sentiment too well because of the picture but you can in real life. I love So Saffron and Old Olive together...I didn't use to be a yellow fan.
Hope you like and thanks for stopping by.

Razzle Dazzle
Hey Stampers!
I made up a bunch of thank you cards for the people who attended my open house and placed an order. I always like to include a thank you card in the order to show my appreciation as well to show what can be created with Stampin Up product. I try to make them as simple as possible. This is what I came up with. The card matches the colour scheme that we used for the make n' takes that day. I used the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon but instead of seeing the polka dots I revesed it.
Half way through the week! Hope you are having a good one.

Halloween Scrapbook Box
Morning Stampers,
Well after I post that it hasn't been feeling like summer yesterday turned out to be a pretty warm day. Probably the first time we've used the air this year.
I was going through my craft room and came across this Halloween DSP. I know it's Stampin Up paper but I have no idea what catalogue it's from and what it is called. It isn't double sided so I know it's a little old. I wanted to make another scrapbook box using this DSP. I also had some K& Company 3D stickers that I wanted to use up as well. I discovered a lot of stuff that I've bought over the years from Michaels and other craft stores that haven't even been opened. I should really set a goal to use that stuff up or give it away.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!!

Christmas in August
Morning Stampers,
Since it doesn't feel like summer I thought that I would make a Christmas card. I saw this one from Dawn's blog and just had to try one. It was pretty easy, only this is that I don't have any current catalogue Christmas paper yet so I used last year's. I love making Christmas cards, I probably spend more time creating Christmas cards then any other kind of card. The stamp set that I used for the front is one of my favourites that came out in the last catalogue. I was so happy to see it return.
Thanks for checking in, hope you enjoy!

Scrapbook Box
Afternoon Stampers!
I've been blog surfing today trying to get inspiration. There are so many talented people out there. I cased a few things and over the next few days will be sharing them with you. I am anxiously waiting for my next order to arrive so that I can start using the in colours more.
So today I'm sharing a scrapbook box that I found from Roxy's blog. Look to the right for her blog. I used the tall tales DSP and I'm pretty happy with the end result.
Thanks for stopping by hope you like!

Open House Fun!
Good Morning!
Thank you to everyone who joined me on Saturday for my open house. I had a lot of fun and hope you did too. Today's post is what we did at the open house. All last week leading up to it I kept trying to come up with ideas as to what we were going to make. I knew I wanted to use a new stamp set and the new in colours....one problem, I had the ink for the in colours and some DSP but I forgot to order cardstock on my last order. Thank goodness for the Idea book, I was able to look at what other colours where in my DSP and went from there. I hope you like, I was pretty proud of the end result. I also filled bags with candy to put in the box.
Thanks for stopping by!

New DSP
You don't this about me....or maybe you do......but I am in love with elephants. I'm not sure what it is about them, it could be that they are so big and I am really small. I have tons of elephant stuff around my house....almost every room has something. Anyway, I was super excited to see that one of the new DSP packs had elephants all over it so of course I had to get it. I have yet to get the matching stamp set but that will be soon. I'm having a hard time letting go of the Wild About You stamp set that was retired....this helps. :)
I found the tutorial for this box here, instead of using the coluzzle I just used the wide oval punch. Hope you like and thanks for stopping by!

Guess Who
Well I hope this is the beginning of more consistent posts. It's amazing, where did all the time go? I was working on a 30 plus page scrapbook for my aunt and uncle's 25th anniversary. That consumed a lot of my time and sadly I didn't take a lot of pictures of it.....since then I've been trying to get my craft room back to normal. I have worked on a few things this week and will definitely have more posts for you. Thank you for being patient...my mom says she was tired of looking at my last post. lol
I was trying to get my card making mojo back so I had a look throught the newest catalogue for inspiration and this is what I came up with. The only thing I really chaged up was the colours. Thanks for checking in! I'll be back.
